Another weekend, another adventure for the Milla family! Well, kind of. We’ve been to Liberty Public Market before but didn’t really get the chance to enjoy it. The last time we were here, Jax was about 10 months old & teething like crazy so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted to. Thankfully, our little redo adventure turned out pretty great!
I love trying out new products for Jax so when Twistshake reached out to me, I was pretty excited. While they did gift us these products, these are my own opinions & would never recommend a product that I actually didn’t like. With that being said, let’s talk about Twistshake & their products…
It’s that time of the year where most of us reflect on the past year. 2017 has been eventful for me to say the least. It’s been filled with ups and downs but thankfully more ups than anything else! With 2017 coming to a close, I thought that it would be a good time to reflect on some of my favorite memories. I’ve had so many great memories throughout the year so it was difficult to narrow it down to just 5 but here they are…
One of the things I love about living in San Diego is that the weather is always AMAZING (well, almost!) even in December! We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and do something fun. Our lovely neighbor gave us a 50% off coupon to the San Diego Safari Park so we thought why not go there? Plus, JJ gets in for free because he is active duty military & Jax is under 3. So we packed up and headed out for some fun at the Safari Park!
December has always been my favorite month and it feels like it just flew by! I mean, can you believe that Christmas is just THREE days away and we’ll be ringing in the new year in a little over a week?! Crazy, right? Before the month is up, I wanted to just give you just a little update. I’ve been pretty M.I.A. with the blog and that’s because I’ve been focusing on myself & my family. To be honest, that’s all I really plan to do for the rest of the month. Don’t worry though! I’ve been working on a few things for the blog for the upcoming year. I’m pretty excited about it and I can’t wait to share it with you all! Until then, here are a few from our Christmas mini session shot by Breelily Photography.
What better way to start off December & the Christmas season than with a delicious cookie recipe? I don’t know about you but this time of year (besides Halloween, of course!) really brings out my sweet tooth. I especially have a weakness for these dark chocolate peppermint cookies that I’m about to share with you all. They’re soft, not too sweet, & have that perfect touch of peppermint to get you into the Christmas spirit!
It’s something that I don’t talk about too often. To be honest, it’s something I’m still not completely comfortable with sharing. But with everything that has been going on lately, I thought sharing this part of my life would be a good way to cope. I started this blog wanting to be pretty transparent. I want to be able to openly share parts of my life with you whether it be good or bad. There are parts of my life that aren’t so great and anxiety is one of them. Read more
Hello, loves! I hope you all had a great Halloween! Last night, we took Jax out for his first time trick or treating. We actually live in an apartment complex and not too many neighbors participate in the Halloween festivities so our good friends, Dylan and Leavell, invited us over to trick or treat in their neighborhood! It was Jax’s first time actually going door to door and he loved it! Jax was a little scared at first, but after a few houses, he got the hang of it. It so cute watching him trick or treat. You should’ve seen how happy he was! We headed back to their place to help pass out candy once it got dark. Jax was so excited to help. He would literally wait at the screen door waiting for other kids to come up. Little man even put pieces of candy in their bags! It was the sweetest thing everrrrr! Halloween 2017 was a success! We’re already counting down to next year!
