Another weekend, another adventure for the Milla family! Well, kind of. We’ve been to Liberty Public Market before but didn’t really get the chance to enjoy it. The last time we were here, Jax was about 10 months old & teething like crazy so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted to. Thankfully, our little redo adventure turned out pretty great!
For those of you that don’t know JJ & I, we are huge foodies. We love trying all types of different foods so Liberty Public Market was the perfect spot to get our foodie fix. It has a ton different food vendors that’ll satisfy everyone’s tastes buds. From raw seafood, delicious burgers, to sweet treats…you won’t be disappointed!
Our first stop was Doughballs, a pizzeria located in the Mess Hall, that serves wood-fired pizza. We’re both pretty indecisive when it comes to pizza so we decided on doing a half Carni – half Porky pizza. On the Carni side was mozzarella, prosciutto, fennel sausage, arugula, and olive oil. On the Porky side was tomato, mozzarella, meatball, bacon, pepperoni, and mushroom. YUMMMMMM! It was definitely Jax approved!
Next up was what we really came for! The last time we went to Liberty Public Market, we stopped by Fishbone Kitchen & I’ve been thinking about it ever since! First, we had their uni. The last time we ordered this here, we had a couple of people ask us if it was worth it. Yes, it is. It’s DELICIOUS! Then we had half a dozen of their oysters…even more DELICIOUS! Then Shane, the manager, had us try out their oyster shooters which were AMAZING! You also have to try their kombucha that they have on draft. If I could, I would buy a whole jug of that stuff. It was super refreshing! If you’re into fresh & locally caught seafood, you should definitely check this place out!
Afterwards, we decided to get some dessert at an ice cream spot called Scooped. We decided to try one of their ice cream tacos. It was pretty much a waffle taco shell filled with brownie batter ice cream and a chocolate hard shell and sprinkles. It was really good but was pretty sweet for my liking but the guys really liked it.
Jax ended up having a little sugar rush from the ice cream so we decided to walk around so we could tire him out. One of the things I love about Liberty Public Market is that there’s a lot of areas where you can sit around and relax…or in my case, chase around a hyper toddler. It’s a really family friendly place. We had a great time at the market and now that Jax is a little bit older, I can guarantee we’ll be there all the time!
