Morning + Night Rituals with Woodlot

Disclosure: These products were gifted by Woodlot but these thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of the things that I’ve been really big on lately are my daily rituals. These are the things that I (try) to do on a daily basis that really set the tone for the rest of my day and night. They’re similar but at the same time different from each other in certain ways. Now, I don’t always get a chance to do each these rituals every single day but I try to do at least one of them for my own well-being. These rituals are my form of self-care and have really helped me become more mindful, less anxious, and all around sane.

I’ve been practicing these daily rituals for a few months now but just recently, I’ve introduced a couple of new products from a brand that designed their products all around rituals. Enter Woodlot. This Vancouver-based home and body brand uses natural, ethically-sourced ingredients infused with essential oils that inspire wellness and ignite conversations. Ever since discovering Woodlot, their products have become staples during these rituals of mine. So now let’s get to it…

Wow. Long time, no blog! It’s definitely been a while since my last post. I had no intention of being MIA. To be completely honest, I had so much planned for the blog but life just happened. I’ve just been in a bit of funk ever since then. Well, until the other night when I told myself to snap out of it and get shit done. So here I am with a little life update…

I know, I totally failed at this “Friday Favorites” series. I had every intention to keep up with the series but life got a little hectic. Simple Ways to Reduce Plastic Waste

REDUCING PLASTIC WASTE

This blog post contains affiliate links. Learn more.

A couple of months ago, I read an article about the amount of plastic we use globally each year. I was amazed to find out we use about 300 MILLION TONS of plastic every year. The average American throws away approximately 185 pounds of plastic per year. Less than 10% of that plastic is being recycled. ONLY. TEN. PERCENT. The remaining 90% ends up in landfills or our oceans. Shocking, right? I looked at how much plastic our family used and realized that we needed to make some changes.

Eyelash Extensions with Hannah Lebron

LASH EXTENSIONS W/ BBHL
DISCLOSURE: I was gifted a certain amount of credit towards a service at Beauty by Hannah Lebron. I did pay a portion of that service out of pocket. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

For the past year or two, I always went back and forth about getting eyelash extensions. They were something I never knew I needed until now. Yes, I know I’m totally late! But I’ve always been more of a strip lash girl. They’re the ones you can get at beauty stores and take off at the end of the day. I wore them throughout high school (extra AF right?!) and wore them almost on a daily basis. I never felt the need to get eyelash extension but I’ve always been curious about them. So let’s just fast forward to a few months ago…

DRY BRUSHING // What, Why, and How?

DRY BRUSHING // MICHMILLA
One of the things I’ve been really into lately is dry brushing. I’ve heard about it a while ago but it took me a while to really give it a try. I paid a visit to Shop Good in North Park and they had some in store. I picked one up and I’m glad I did! It’s become a regular part of my daily routine with the exception of those days where I just don’t have the time because #momlife. So I thought I’d share a little more about it because it’s definitely something that you can incorporate into your own routine.

JADE ROLLER // MICHMILLA

The first time I saw a jade roller pop up on my Instagram feed, I thought, “Ooh pretty! What is it? Do I need it?”. I convinced myself that I didn’t need it and just kept scrolling. After months of seeing it all over my feed and everyone raving about them, I started to get a little beauty FOMO. Maybe I did need one. So when I was given the opportunity to try one from Witty, I took it. I tried it out for a few weeks to see if it was worth the hype. Here’s what I thought…

PICNIC AT THE PARK WITH RE-PLAY RECYCLED

This post is sponsored by Re-Play Recycled. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

PICNIC WITH RE-PLAY RECYCLED
I really wanted to kick off the first official weekend of summer with a picnic at the park. I was expecting some nice, hot weather but apparently Mother Nature disagreed. It was cloudy and a lot cooler than I anticipated but we still made it work! We grabbed our blanket, packed our picnic basket, and headed to the park at Liberty Station for some much needed family time.
